A Visit to Mosque, Grade 1 (H-11 Campus)

The foundation of Islamic civilisation and Muslim society was laid when the Prophet (S.A.W) built the first mosque after migrating to Medina. Thus this worshipping place became the centre of the whole Muslim Ummah. Striving to connect today’s Muslim Ummah to their central point once again, we all need to work on developing our connection with the Mosques again! Our students of Primary Section, Grade 1 (H-11 Campus, Isb) got a fabulous chance of visiting Al-Huda Mosque which is adjacent to the School premises. It was a hands-on experience for them while they were learning the chapter ‘Al-Masjid’ in their Islamic Studies class. The students eagerly lined up from their classes and walked graciously into the mosque. As they read the Dua for entering, they were reminded of the manners and etiquettes of entering the mosque and how to behave once inside. Being submissive in front of Allah (S.W.T) was the specially focused part of the visit. Students were encouraged to think about the Muslim brotherhood and how standing in the same Saff (row) brings discipline and unity among Muslims. They were excited to learn about the different fragments of the mosque, such as Saff, bookshelves, Mimber, and Sutrah. They also noted the timings of each Salah and pledged to each other that they would observe the five daily prayers in the mosque with their parents In sha Allah.
