Montessori Section (F-8 Campus)

Run, Race and reach the goal!

Hurry up! And catch the ball!

Here we are with a sensational week of the Annual Sports at AIS. All students engaging in the games of their choice and teachers busy bucking them up.

Annual Sports Week in Montessori Section (F-8 Campus) took off with a grand opening ceremony on 10th November. All the games and competitions planned for the week were introduced on the inauguration day followed by the Branch Head’s brief address.

There were three rounds which shortlisted the best players. Every student of the Montessori Section got a chance participation in Round one. Round two was the Semi-final which selected our finalists for the third and final round. The concluding round was scheduled on 17th November. The hall was beautifully decorated for this day and different props were artistically representing the various games of the event. All students showed great sportsman spirit and encouraged their fellows who made up to the victory stand.

This week of vibrancy was formally concluded on 29th November with a wonderfully organised closing ceremony. The colourful balloons and eye catching decor enhanced the elegance of the hall. The program started with the soothing recitation of Holy Qur’an followed by a harmonized PT display. The systematic entry of our Advance Montessori students to the hall, the exciting colourful pom-poms, and the commands of our little instructors were truly show-stoppers.

Pertaining to the exceptional needs of some students, a competition of breaking glass tower by a plastic ball was conducted. Our respected Branch Head also raced with a student of Advance Montessori giving the event a lighter mood. The winners were awarded certificates and trophies for their tireless efforts and supportiveness. The remaining participants were given certificates as a take away memory of their contribution.

Concluding the ceremony, our Chief Guest Ms. Maryam Zubair encouraged the students to adopt healthy sporty habits and appreciated the staff members for their marvellous efforts during the event. She also emphasized on the importance of physical activities in maintaining health for all age groups reminding us of the beautiful saying of our beloved Prophet ﷺ:

“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive to do that which will benefit you and seek the help of Allah…”

Rasul Allah ﷺ preferred a strong believer over a weaker one, this includes the strength of faith as well as the physical strength. He ﷺ said:

“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive to do that which will benefit you and seek the help of Allah…”
