Junior Montessori’s first day at school! Another academic journey began today at AlHuda International School.
Moms and dads taking pride in helping their children take the first real step to independence entered the gates of AIS for the first time. Children were welcomed with open hands by teachers and were escorted to their beautifully decorated hub. Nasheeds were played after ruqya to add to the festive mood. The children were shown a puppet show, got stickers, did art activities, got goody bags and wore crowns* – all done in order to help them adjust and cope with the first day jitters.
It might take a few days for the children to settle; along with teachers’ efforts parents’ positive approach and counseling can help expedite it.
