Alhamdulillah all praise is for Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala, that for the first time in the history of AIS Reading Program two of our Montessori enthusiastic readers have achieved the ‘free readers’ target at a young age of 6 years. Only those students receive this honour who cover ORT Stage 9. Both of these girls covered 24 readers with us this session. This was possible because of the consistent help of the Reading Teacher, the regular support of class teachers and the tremendous efforts of the students as well as the continuous motivation and extra involvement of parents which enabled all of us to witness this day of joy.
Radhia Noor Hashmi from Casa K and Muntaha Binte Naveed from Casa I are the out standing children who received this award enabling them to now step into the library and choose any book of their choice (instead of the levelled reading). A ceremony was held on Friday 20th May 2016 in which the Director school presented the certificates, prizes and the badges to Radiha and Muntaha; the shinning students of AIS. The director also had an interactive session with the students in which he shared with the students his passion for reading as well as personal experiences of his childhood to make them understand the importance of reading and developing the love of books. In sha Allah, these students will be a source of motivation for their peers.
