FSD: Arabic Vocabulary | Shapes and Colours
Learning the Arabic vocabulary to build a strong relation with the language of Qur’an is one of the motives of AIS. A number of activities were introduced to our students while teaching them the names of shapes and colours in Arabic.
Shapes in Arabic:
To introduce Arabic names of shapes, a 3D house was designed for our students with windows of different shapes. The triangle (مثلث), square (مربع) and circle (دائرہ) windows helped the students to relate and recognize the patterns. Children enjoyed learning shapes when they opened a round window by saying (دائرہ دائرہ) and for other shaped windows likewise.
Colours in Arabic:
Multiple items of red (ازرق) & blue (احمر) colours were brought together to familiarize them to our students. Children were asked to put (ازرق) colour items on blue matt and (احمر) colour items on red mat. Students grasped the concept in less than 5 minutes to memorize the Arabic vocabulary.
