IKMC 2017

F-8 Campus

The International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest originated in France and is organized in Pakistan by Kangourou Sans Frontières. The purpose of this contest is to create interest in mathematics by encouraging mathematical thinking and providing an opportunity to test the mathematical skills of the participants.

Every year students of AIS participate in this competition to compare their mathematical abilities with international contestants. This year IKMC was conducted on 16th March 2017. A total of 216 students from our Primary Section prepared for the test with their teachers in specifically arranged classes. On contest day, special arrangements were made for a smooth and flawless administration of the contest. Invigilators catered every student according to the set standards of Kangourou Sans Frontieres Pakistan.

The most waited results of IKMC were declared on 15th May, 2017 in which 4 of our students (from Grade I to IV) won Bronze medals and 143 students were awarded special badges for securing more than 40% marks.

Prizes for the young achievers were distributed in a special assembly where these young emerging students received their prizes with pleasure and thanksgiving to Allah (S.W.T).

H-11 Campus

This year IKMC was conducted on 16 th March 2017 in H-11 campus where a total of 46 students from Grade 1 prepared for the test with their teachers in specifically arranged classes. On contest day, special arrangements were made for a smooth and flawless administration of the contest. Invigilators catered every student according to the set standards of Kangourou Sans Frontieres Pakistan.

The most awaited results of IKMC were out in the month of May, Alhamdulillah one of our participants, Munteha from Grade 1-A won gold medal, a badge and a certificate while other participants also gained certificates.

Prizes for the young achievers were distributed in a special ceremony on 22nd May, where these young emerging students received their prizes among the echoes of Takbeerat with pleasure and thanksgiving to Allah (S.W.T)
