Iqbal Day

Iqbal– the poet of East and the national poet of Pakistan, the person who brought a prevailing change among the Muslims of subcontinent through his poetry and literary work. This amazing personality and his great work is celebrated on his birth date 9th November, every year. To renew the ideology of Iqbal, exclusive assemblies and tableaus were presented in AIS Montessori & Primary Sections.
Montessori Section: An assembly about Allama Iqbal’s poetry was conducted on 8th November, 2017. Our Senior Montessori students presented an insightful skit on Iqbal’s Dua and the poem ‘Pahar aur Gulehri’. One of the students dressed up in Iqbal’s attire and shared Iqbal’s poetry.
Primary Section: From 6th to 8th November, a series of morning assemblies was conducted in our Primary Section in respect of Iqbal’s Day. A role play ‘An interview with Allama Iqbal’, poems ‘Hamdardi’ and ‘Dua’ left a great impact on our students. Moreover, our students of Grade 2 presented the poetry of Allama Iqbal in a very dynamic way. A special story telling session about Allama Iqbal was held in Primary Section, through which the personality of Allama Iqbal, his contributions for the Muslim Ummah and other information related to him was shared. Teachers also played an active part in highlighting the ideology of Iqbal and presented his poem ‘Aik Makra Aur Makhi’. The poetry of this wonderful poet was valued through an interesting session of ‘Bait Baazi’ as well.
