Fruits are no doubt a delicious treat from the Creator- yummy in taste, delightful in sight and healthy to consume. Fruit salad is one of the best ways for children to take a good amount of fresh seasonal fruits. As part of our Montessori Curriculum, we engage our young learners in activities which teach them daily life chores. Boosting their self- confidence and autonomy, this time our Junior Montessori (F-8 Campus) students were involved in the making of fruit salad. Our overjoyed little chefs were keen in learning the cutting and mixing techniques from their teachers, before engaging their own little hands with the blunt knife. They learned the manners of working with kitchen accessories, enhanced their motor skills and enjoyed munching their self-made salad at the end.
