Morning Assembly Activity on ‘Courage’

A Morning Assembly Activity at Primary Section on ‘Courage’

A special morning assembly was held in the Primary Section of AIS, on Thursday 10th April, 2014, in which fourth grade students delivered speeches on the theme of ‘Courage’ (which was the Moral Theme of the month being taught at AIS). The assembly began with the recitation of the verses of the Holy Qur’an by Syed Saad from Grade III.

Fourth grade student Umaima Atta expressed her thoughts about the subject through a vibrant speech in Urdu by quoting the examples of Mohammad bin Qasim and the exploits of Salahuddin Ayyubi.

Fourth-grade student Dawud Darr also shared his views regarding the topic. His speech turned out to be an example of courage itself; being a British national, Dawud is quite struggling with Urdu. He not only overcame his nervousness, but put an excellent effort in delivering his speech in Urdu. Students from Grade III also expressed their views briefly related to the theme.

This courageous and informative beginning proved quite fruitful throughout the day as the students showed keen interest in the exemplary historical people of courage being discussed by their fellows. They showed their involvement by asking questions about Muhammad bin Qasim and Salahuddin Ayyubi. The excitement which triggered in the morning prevailed throughout the day and proved to be a productive activity, Alhamdulillah!
