PEW | World Arabic Language Day

On December 18th, 1973 the United Nations General Assembly approved Arabic as an official UN language, thus this day is observed as ‘World Arabic Language Day’ every year. The Arabic Department of Peshawar University organized a gathering in the same context where a number of distinguished guests were invited to pay tribute to this language of Qur’an. The purpose of this august gathering was to promote Arabic Language and its importance in the life of Muslims. The University invited students of only two schools from Peshawar city to take part in this event. AlHuda International School (Peshawar Campus) had the privilege of being one of the two invited schools. AIS students were prepared for sharing two Ahadith, a dialogue in Arabic language and an Arabic poem (Nasheed). The 9 participants from both Junior and Senior Montessori included Hafsa Hareem, Hamna Khan, Dure Shehwar, Muhammad Talha, Hoorul Ain, Seeneen Gul Khattak, Muhammad Hassan, Hanna Kundi and Muhammad Abbas. The guests greatly appreciated the performances of AIS students for being the youngest among the lot. In order to encourage the humble and innocent efforts of the students, the management of Arabic Department distributed gifts among them.
