Post: Means of Transport (MS H-11 Campus)

We come to school on a bus To the park, the car takes us Aeroplane flies with the birds The food we eat comes on trucks In the street, there’s a bicycle ride And in the sea the ship glides Busy hands and busy minds We are learning the traffic signs Starting with a special assembly on our culture topic ‘Means of Transport’, Senior Montessori students were engaged in a number of activities related to the different modes of transportation. They were taught about guidelines and rules of road traffic and importance of following traffic lights through an interactive presentation. The students were particularly exhilarated when they took a rickshaw and van ride that had been specially arranged for them. The sights and sounds of land transport- O what fun it was for everyone! To familiarise our children with water transportation, they were involved in a boat making activity through recycled material. They were happy to float and race their paper boats in a small pool. Air transport was much more fun when the students sent their little toys to a ride of hot air balloon! Students were also involved in cutting and pasting activities of various transport in their scrap books. This interesting topic ended with a special ‘Show and Tell activity’ in which the kids brought different means of transport from home and joyfully exhibited their favourite vehicles.
