As Muslims, it is important that we raise children who have empathy for others, are compassionate, generous and kind. When the Bio Sand Water Filter Project for Thar was announced in the School, students came up with different amounts of sadaqa to help quench the thirst of the people in Thar.
It was a moment of wondrous pride, when one of our grade 1 student, came up with a jar full of her entire year’s savings Masha’Allah! Sibgha Tabssum is 7 years old and studies in grade 1C at AlHuda International School. She told that she is giving all the money she has in order to get reward from Allah (swt) and to gain His Pleasure.
There is so much for us to learn from the act of this little child. May Allah (swt) give us all the tawfeeq to spend in His way and may He help us raise a generous nation.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever gives charity equal to a date from good (halal) earnings – for Allaah does not accept anything but that which is good – Allaah will take it in His right hand and tend it for the one who gave it as any one of you tends his foal, until it becomes like a mountain.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1344; Muslim, 1014.
