Show & Tell Activity | MS H-11 Campus
Colour is a powerful and important communication tool. They are not just meant to be delightful for our sight but they do play an important role of in our lives as they are all around us. Blue colour being one of the primary colours was introduced and reinforced to our Senior Montessori students in a Show and Tell activity. The teachers asked the students to bring a blue colour item from home. The students were super excited to show their favourite thing to their classmates and brought toys, bags, balloons, umbrellas etc. To boost up their confidence and speaking skills, they were also encouraged to describe their belongings to their fellow students. It was an exhilarating and motivating experience for both speakers and the audience as they shared the gleeful moments together. As part of the reinforcement of Science lesson “Local Environment” the students of Advance Montessori were given a special homework of making Animal Habitat models. Parents were given complete guidelines for this task. They were given a choice to make any one of the following habitats like Desert, Forest, Sea, Field and Arctic. Students brought their creative and fascinating models on Wednesday, 12th September 2018 for the “Show and Tell Activity”. Through this activity students got a chance to enhance their public speaking skills as they explained their projects in front of the whole class. This activity also boosted their confidence and gave them the concept of recycling. They used an array of mixed media that included miniature animals, sand, stones, twigs, leaves, pinecones, boxes, thermopore etc. The artistic masterpieces were later exhibited in the corridors where rest of the school visited and got inspired by the innovative display.
